About

I am a DPhil student at Oxford, supervised by Alison Noble and Yarin Gal. I am part of the Health Data Science CDT.

My research involves the application, characterisation and improvement of interpretable deep learning methods for medical imaging.

I have an unusual background for a computer scientist, with a Masters degree in Physics and Chemistry, but I have been fascinated by the inner workings of machine learning long before I started researching interpretability. This interest was pushed from a hobby to my full time occupation in 2019 when I worked for a year at Optellum, a startup using deep learning for the early diagnosis of lung cancer. Working with talented individuals from industry inspired me to join my DPhil course where I now continue researching at the forefont of AI and medical imaging.
